Bids for the Childrens Treatment Center raise $31,500.00

The Children�s Treatment Center Charity Auction and Dinner sponsored by the Best Western Parkway Inn and BMO Nesbitt Burns, as held at the Best Western Parkway Inn on Friday February 3, 2006. The program included a dinner, a live auction conducted by Theresa E. Taylor and Associates Auctioneering and a silent auction of 32 works of art, coordinated by George and Elizabeth Dempster of Dempster�s Frameworks.

One of the features of the evening was the Dessert Extravaganza. Gourmet desserts donated by Judy Stewart Catering were auctioned off choice to the highest bidder; chocolate, cream and all goods things was a popular auction item. The four desserts sold for over $800.00, with the high bidder being Roland Bissonnette . Guests at his table brought on the forks.

The event raised $31,500 for the Center. This annual event helps to raise funds to maintain the counseling services the center provides to abused children and their families in Cornwall, the counties of SD & G and the community of Akwesasne.
