Theresa Attends Conference in Orlando, Florida

Auctioneer Theresa Taylor, CAI, of Cornwall, attended the largest conference of Auctioneers in the world in July to attend educational seminars and network with colleagues from across the U.S. and around the world. Fourteen hundred Participants attended from 48 states of U.S., 5 Canadian provinces, South Africa, Australia & Venezuela.

The National Auctioneers Association hosted the 57th International Auctioneers Conference and show July 10-15 in Orlando, Florida. It featured more that 70 educational seminars, including those on technology, Internet auctions, selling real estate at auction, building a work team, and more. Theresa, the 2005 recipient of the Rose Award, was one of the International presenters at this Conference. She delivered a presentation entitled �The Auction Summary Report Made Painless�. The Conference also featured marketing awards, the International Auctioneer Championship and other highlights.

Other noteworthy speakers included Scott McKain, business expert and author of �ALL Business is Show Business�; as well as Doctor Perry Buffington, author of the bestseller �Cheap Psychological Tricks: What to Do When Hard Work, Honesty, and Perseverance Fail�. Other interesting presentations were made by Simon Lia, a Master Licensed Facilitator of the �Crucial Conversations� material. Joe Calhoon, CSP, enlightened delegates with �How to Create a Dynamic Business Growth Plan.�.

�It was inspiring to have the opportunity to hear all these quality professional speakers at the same venue�, said Theresa Taylor. �The entire conference was a rewarding experience. One of the highlights was when our hosts, the Florida State Auctioneers, treated us to a Bar-b-que at the Ranch of Marty and Angela Higgenbotham. We had the opportunity to sample alligator meat; it was great (tastes like chicken)!�
